MORONGO VALLEY CSD TO REINTRODUCE “HATE-FREE ZONE“ RESOLUTION TONIGHT

The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors have revised a resolution that was reluctantly dropped during their September Board meeting. The proposed resolution to have Morongo Valley declared a “Hate-Free Zone” was overwhelmingly opposed by meeting attendees from Morongo Valley who, among other comments, called the resolution intrusive, unenforceable, and overall unnecessary. The directors have revised the wording of the resolution and plan to reintroduce it tonight. Reporter Andrew Dieleman has the full meeting agenda…

At tonight’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD will also discuss approving a revision to one of the district’s tax-collection agreements, review a new driving policy for the Morongo Valley Fire Department’s medic engine, review two requests from Morongo Valley groups to rent the Covington Park community building for a discounted rate, and discuss a letter of congratulations sent to the Morongo Valley CSD for “zero paid Property and Liability claims” during the 2018-2019 operating year. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building, 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
