The Morongo Valley CSD board meets tonight in regular session. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says the board may consider putting a fire tax on the ballot to save the local fire department…
At tonight’s regular 7:00 meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District, board members will consider a revenue-generating measure widely expected to go before Morongo Valley voters in June. Reports are that the very existence of the Fire Department there will be contingent on the outcome of such a vote. Also tonight, returning board member Johnny Tolbert and newly elected board member Matthew Campos will each take the oath of office. Light refreshments will follow tonight’s meeting; the community is invited to come help ring in the holiday season. It all happens in the Community Building’s Multipurpose Room on the edge of Covington Park in Morongo Valley.
