MORONGO VALLEY CSD REVIEWS A SURVEY; LOOKS AT BALLFIELD MAINTENANCE

The Morongo Valley Community Service District Board of directors held their regularly-scheduled meeting last night. Reporter Andrew Dieleman was there and files this report…

Last night’s meeting of the Morongo Valley CSD began with a review of the CSD’s recent community input survey. The survey indicated great public interest in maintaining the Covington Park ballfield and installing new playground equipment and shade structures. The board then spoke with new members of the Morongo Valley Youth Softball League regarding ball field maintenance and confirming Morongo Valley’s upcoming 2019 softball season. The board also extended the deadline for nominations for the 2018 Chuck Osbourne Volunteer of the Year award until April 1. A link to the nomination form is available below. The board also heard a positive report on the District’s final audit, agreed unanimously to release a statement of support for the banning of fur trapping in Morongo Valley, and agreed to review and revise its policy on the fees for CSD facility rentals.
