At tonight’s regular 7:00 o’clock meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District, the board is expected to accept the resignation of Director Karen Lowe who gave notice in a surprise announcement at last month’s board meeting. The board will also likely appoint an interim finance director as Lowe had held that spot. Tomorrow, the CSD will begin to take applications for the empty seat. The board plans to appoint someone to the position at the regular March 15 meeting. Also tonight, the board will hammer out the details of a community meeting on the proposed Fire Tax which goes before voters on the June Primary. It all happens in the Community Building’s Multipurpose Room on the edge of Covington Park in Morongo Valley.
