At tonight’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD board of directors will first continue with ongoing business, including the District’s submission of grant applications and providing updates to the Covington Park community kitchen renovations. The board will then move to new business, discussing the hiring of a new EMS coordinator for the Morongo Valley Fire Department, and discuss an updated report on attorney costs that have resulted from board-related problems. The board will also review ad hoc committee reports on the job description and contract for the district’s director of operations, deployment parameters for the Morongo Valley Fire Department, and possible future funding options for the district. Lastly, the board will adjourn to closed session to discuss anticipated litigation and hold an evaluation on the district’s director of operations. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building, 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
