Tonight’s meeting of the Morongo Valley CSD will begin in open session with the introduction of Morongo Valley Fire Chief Gary Yearsley as the board’s interim general manager. The board will also discuss the CSD and fire department’s 2018/2019 fiscal year budget, grant a room-use and alcohol permit for the Morongo Valley firefighters’ annual casino night fundraiser, and grant use of the lower parking lot to the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building, located at 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
