To help stem the spread of the coronavirus, the Morongo Valley CSD closed all CSD buildings and properties to the public on March 16. This includes Covington Park, the community center buildings, the CSD offices, and the Morongo Valley Fire Department building. Residents are asked to not bring any gifts to the fire department—as gifts cannot be accepted at this time—and to adhere to the statewide stay-at-home orders as much as possible. The fire department will continue to dispatch to emergency calls in Morongo Valley via 911.
