MORONGO VALLEY CSD EYES AIR B&B TAXES, REVIEWS FIRE TAX TONIGHT

The Morongo Valley Community Services District board of directors will be staying busy tonight with a lengthy agenda for tonight’s board meeting. The board will begin with review of ongoing topics, including announcing the recipients of the 2018 Chuck Osbourn Volunteer-of-the-Year award and reviewing the district’s 2019-2020 fiscal year budget. At tonight’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD will also discuss numerous new topics; including receiving tax revenue from the County Tourism Fund and from Air B&B rentals in Morongo Valley. The board will also review Morongo Valley’s annual Fire Suppression Assessment resolution; the collection of special taxes, fees, and assessments for the 2019-2020 fiscal year; the length of Morongo Valley firefighters’ probation periods; and the current county regulation on driveway lengths in Morongo Valley. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building, 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
