MORONGO VALLEY CSD CONTINUES DISCUSSION OF PARAMEDIC INCENTIVE PAY

The Morongo Valley Community Services District board held a special meeting last night. Reporter Andrew Dieleman was there, and files this report…
At last night’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD board continued discussions regarding a $25 payment incentive for paramedics. The vote was postponed last month due to legislative discrepancies. The new correctly-worded legislation clarifies that the incentive is only for the lead scheduled paramedic. The board adopted the incentive, but will closely monitor, and possibly amend, the incentive program based on its success. The board also discussed the purchase of a new copy machine, unanimously agreeing to the purchase of a less-expensive, refurbished model. The board also voted unanimously to begin trimming select trees within Covington Park, as well as mulching leaves and branches, for the safety of park-goers. The mulch will be either sold or donated for landscaping purposes.
