At tonight’s regular 7:00 meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District, board members will consider an ambitious agenda before the evening’s highlight—a post-meeting community-wide social honor of retiring director Chuck Osborne. Under new business, the board is expected to adopt the final audit for fiscal year ending June 2014, announce the winners of the November 3 election, and form an ad-hoc committee to call for nominations for the annual Chuck Osborne Volunteer of the Year Award. Preceding those items are regular reports and a presentation from past Director Glen Sheppard who will ask the Board to consider a dry camping area as a possible future park revenue source. Tonight’s meeting is in the Community Building’s Multipurpose Room on the edge of Covington Park in Morongo Valley.
