At last night’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD board approved funding for new cutter/spreader tools for the Morongo Valley fire department and much-needed repairs to the ball field and select bathrooms in Covington Park. The board also unanimously agreed to nominate volunteer Glen Shepherd for the Chuck Osborne Volunteer of the Year award. The board was forced to postpone discussions on the Southern California Edison street light replacement program due to lack of program clarification. The discussion on providing an alcohol permit for the fire department’s casino night fundraiser was also postponed until the next meeting.
