In Morongo Valley, the Community Services District holds the regular third Tuesday meeting at 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building multipurpose room. Among the items under “new business” on tonight’s agenda, directors will consider renewing eligibility in the State’s Surplus Property Program, form an ad-hoc committee to investigate a “special tax” to supplement current property taxes and fire assessment, discuss information from legal council on a board policy requiring a “super majority” vote in some circumstances, and adopt new lease with San Bernardino County for property located adjacent to Covington Park and including ball fields and maintenance yard.
