At last night’s board meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District the board expanded access to the ball fields allowing any organized local youth sports team use of the fields. Also last night director Johnny Tolbert was named finance chair and the newest director, Darin Sanden, will head up parks, and the storage closet in the Children’s Library will now be made available for storage of judo matts and other miscellaneous items. And in a report from the fire tax committee, there was discussion of the possibility of combining contiguous parcels as a strategy for reducing owner’s liability for the proposed fire tax.
