Morongo Unified School District announces free meals for all students next year

The Morongo Unified School District has announced they will be continuing its policy for serving free meals to all students under the National School Lunch/School Breakfast Programs for the 2025/26 school year.
For all sixteen campuses in the district, students will be served free breakfast and lunch provided under the National School Lunch / School Breakfast Programs through the Community Eligibility Provision. The district switched over to this program in the 2018-2019 school year. The district qualifies for CEP because a significant percentage of students are directly certified for free meals.
Schools and districts qualify when more than 25% of their students are directly certified through programs such as CalWORKs, or when students are identified as homeless or in foster care.
