The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education will do some housekeeping at its regular meeting tonight. Public hearings and personnel. That pretty much sums up the agenda for tonight’s meeting. The two public hearings are on the proposed Local Control Accountability Plan and the annual budget and service plans for 2017/18.
Personnel items on the table include salary increases for two administrators and contract extensions for two more. In addition, the board will take the necessary legal steps to bring in Michael Gelber as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources to replace Doug Weller who’s retiring July 1.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway 7 p.m. at Joshua Tree Elementary School on Sunburst Avenue.
