In a 5 p.m. work/study session on August 4, the Morongo Unified School District Board of Education will review the single plans for student achievement for four more schools. Those plans will be approved during the 7 p.m. open session. Also in the open session, the board will authorize two provisional internship permits for special education interns; award a bid for Oasis Elementary modernization and expansion, and a contract for energy efficiency planning under Prop 39; adopt the school attendance calendar for the coming year; and consider eight board policies in the areas of: head lice; bullying; before- and after-school programs; employee use of technology; naming of facility, school plan and site councils; meals and refreshments for employees and non-employees; and travel expenses. The board meets at Joshua Tree Elementary School.
