The Morongo Unified School District board of directors will conduct a work-study session starting at 6 p.m. tonight, at which it will discuss public relations and marketing for the district. Following the work-study session is a closed session to discuss student expulsions and re-admissions, employee discipline, and conference with bargaining representatives. At 7 p.m., the board will recognize some disabled students for their accomplishments in honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month. The board will hold hearings on the agreement with the California School Employees Association and on textbooks, after which it will be asked to approve them. Other items on the agenda include authorizing contracts for sewer-related architectural and engineering services. The meeting will be held at Joshua Tree Elementary School on Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
