The Morongo Unified School District board of education will meet tonight, opening with a closed session at 5:15 to discuss student expulsions, employee dismissals and discipline, and a conference with bargaining representatives. The board will go into a work study session at 5:30 to discuss secondary education options. In the regular session starting at 7 p.m., students from Landers Elementary will perform for the board members. The board will also be asked to approve overnight trips for wrestlers to compete in meets, and home occupation students to attend a state leadership conference. In other business, the board will be asked to approve two new teachers, a new policy for temporary coaches, and a revision of bylaws concerning translators during public comments. The meeting will be held at Landers Elementary School on Reche Road in Landers.
