Downed power lines and an impassable road have conspired to knock out service for those Morongo Basin residents who get their television for the Morongo Basin Television Service. A landslide and six-foot gullies in the road have prevented maintenance crews from getting up to the top of Pinto Mountain to repair the lines. A Caterpillar crew has been requested to repair the road, but it’s not known at this time when the crew will arrive or when service will be restored. For more information, call 760-367-1833.
