The Morongo Basin Transit Authority, the MBTA, Board of Directors will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the MBTA Operations Center on Verbena Road in Joshua Tree. Among the items on the consent agenda are treasurer, ridership, and financial reports. Under new business, the Board will be asked to approve a $43,000 contract for a bus stop improvement project; approve a grant request of $539,000 to purchase six paratransit buses; approve a grant request of $461,000 for operating assistance; and approve modifications to the Comprehensive Operations Analysis plan and postpone a fare increase.
