Morongo Basin Transit Authority Board of Directors will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at the MBTA Operations Center on Verbena Road in Joshua Tree. The board will recognize a retired employee and the employee of the quarter. Under old business, the board will receive administrative and operations reports. The board will then elect new officers and make subcommittee assignments; approve a reduction in the cost for a 10-punch Ready Ride pass; and hear an update on the federal charter regulations. The board will then go into closed session to discuss personnel matters concerning the general manager.
