CalTrans, county, city, town and National Park crews and roadworkers are out moving tons of mud and dirt in piles literally 30 feet high from Morongo Basin roadways. Friends are helping friends pull cars and trucks put of debris and mud, Neighbors are helping neighbors cover roofs and fix driveways, roads and damaged homes. The spirit of recovery and people helping people is very much on display in a Morongo Basin taken by surprise with the ferocity of a Friday night storm.
