The 4th annual Morongo Basin Big Read will take place from September 10th to October 10th, celebrating what The New York Times deems one of the ten best books of 2018, “There, There, by Tommy Orange.”
There, There follows the wondrous, complex journeys of twelve characters from Native communities who travel to the Big Oakland Powwow, discovering themselves and their connections to others along the way.
The Big Read will kick off with a community open house at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center on September 10th, 2022.
