The Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council is holding its regular monthly open-session meeting tonight. The council will hear safety reports from the county fire department, the Morongo Valley CSD Fire Department, CalFire, CHP, and the Sheriff.
The Morongo Basin Healthcare District will then provide an overview of its organization, plus updates on special projects relevant to the community.
Immediately following, Superintendent Tom Baumgarten of the Morongo Unified School District will present on the Measure O school bond and the state of education in the Morongo Basin.
Tonight’s Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community Center, 6171 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
