MORONGO BASIN MAC MEETING CANCELLED AFTER DISPUTED ARREST

UPDATE: On October 20, 2017, a judge found that no crime was committed by Mike Lipsitz and has expunged this from his record.

According to Mark Lundquist, the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council Vice-Chairman, the MAC meeting scheduled for Monday has been cancelled. The chairman of the MAC, Mike Lipsitz, who was also the field representative for Third District Supervisor James Ramos, was fired by Ramos from the field rep post on Thursday, after Lipsitz was arrested on suspicion that he gave a banned substance to an inmate at Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center. Lipsitz denies any wrongdoing.
