Mental health in the Morongo Basin.
That’s the subject of an update scheduled for tonight’s meeting of the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council. Dena Fuentes, San Bernardino County’s Director of Community Development and Housing, will present a status report on a proposed Crisis Residential Treatment Facility for adults suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders.
The proposed ten-bed facility—to be built with a $5.6 million state grant—is expected to open in the Spring of 2018.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway 6:30 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community Center on Sunburst Avenue.
