A member to represent the Landers area is being sought for the Morongo Basin MAC. Reporter Mike Lipsitz puts out the call…
There is an open seat on the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council for a delegate to represent Landers. The MAC advises County Supervisor James Ramos on matters relevant to the unincorporated areas. Its members are often in on the ground floor of decisions that affect local roads, development, seniors, public assistance and other issues. This is a volunteer position that requires three or four hours each month. Candidates must be outgoing, community minded, and live or work in Landers. If interested, pick up an application from field rep, Mark Lundquist, at Supervisor Ramos office in the County Government Building off Whitefeather Road in Joshua Tree, or go to http://cms.sbcounty.gov/cob/forms/bccapplication.aspx
