The Morongo Basin MAC met in regular session last night. Reporter David Haldane says they finally have all the seats filled…
The business portion of the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council meeting was short and sweet Monday as the body welcomed a new member to its midst and re-elected three standing members to their respective leadership positions. Michelle Myers, a licensed attorney appointed by the County Board of Supervisors last month, was sworn in as the new representative for Pioneertown. And in unanimous votes, the Council re-elected Mark Lundquist of Joshua Tree as its chairperson; Pat Flanagan of Desert Heights as vice chairperson and Mary Helen Tuttle of Copper Mountain Mesa as secretary.
The arrival of Myers marks the first time since last summer that all nine Council seats have been filled.
In other business, the Council declared that it will no longer meet in December and August due to sparse attendance.
