MORONGO BASIN LIBRARIES IN WORLD READING RECORD ATTEMPT TOMORROW

The Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, and Joshua Tree libraries will participate in a special reading event to set the world record for the most people reading the same book on the same day. The Read for the Record event will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27, at the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley libraries, and at 4 p.m. at the Joshua Tree library. Readers are invited to the library to read “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich” by Julia Sarcone-Roach. The Read for the Record event is to raise awareness of the importance of reading to young children.
