The Morongo Basin Historical Society in Landers is reaching out to Veterans with their day after Veteran’s day lecture. The speaker will be Dr. W. Dean Hunter, author of “For Love of Life and Country,” a decorated veteran, who served in both the Marine Corps and the Air Force. Dr. Hunter is currently a candidate for the Congressional Medal of Honor. A true American Hero and veteran of three wars will share his military experiences. He will sign his book “For Love of Life and Country” after the lecture and slide show. The lecture is at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12. The donation is $5.
