If you need primary medical care, the Morongo Basin Healthcare Distritc’s mobile medical unit will be posting up in downtown Joshua Tree on Thursdays, starting tomorrow (September 22).
The mobile medical unit will be parked in the same lot where the Joshua Tree Farmers market is held, on the south side of Highway 62 near the corner of Sunset Road. A medical doctor is on board who will provide primary medical care and screenings, and if necessary, prescribe lab tests and refill prescriptions. Some immunizations are available.
Medi-Cal, IEHP, Medicare, and most private insurances are accepted. The uninsured are welcome.
An adjusted fee is available based on household size and income so that anyone can see a healthcare provider for a nominal cost.
