The Morongo Basin Healthcare District announced a new name for its free, non-emergency transportation program, “Wellness Wheels.”
Formerly operating as LIFT Transportation Services, the program has been rebranded because of name-confusion with a company that has a similar name.
The Wellness Wheels program will continue to provide free, non-emergency transportation to medical and dental appointments throughout the Morongo Basin and to higher levels of care within the region.
“We support the health of our communities through this transportation program by improving access to healthcare,” said CEO Cindy Schmall. “The new name aligns with the healthcare District’s vision statement of ‘A Healthy Morongo Basin.'”
