Last night’s meeting began dealing with CEO Jackie Comb’s contract, which ends this month. Instead of negotiating a new contract, it was decided to add an amendment to the current contract, extending it another 3 years. The board approve it unanimously. From the reports given, the board was informed that from the first of the year to now, there has been no infection reported at the Hi Desert Medical Center. For the month of May, the district’s overall operating income was 20% above budget for a dollar amount of $176.318. And instead of going down the hill, colonoscopy and endoscopy services are now available locally. Reporting for z107.7 this is Eric Knabe.
