The Morongo Basin Healthcare District Board of Directors will hold two back-to-back meetings tonight (March 2).
At 6 p.m., the board will hold the second of two public hearings on their plan to to transition from at-large to district-based elections, bringing the Healthcare District in line with the high-deserts other publicly funded government bodies – most of which have switched to district-based voting in the last several years.
The regularly scheduled board meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. where the board is expected to recognize Doctor Prem Salhotra, who is stepping away from the Morongo Basin Health Centers for private practice.
The board will also review policies for recycling, and leaves of absence, as well as receive reports regarding finances and marketing. The meetings can be attended in person at the District’s Yucca Valley office, located at 6530 La Contenta Road, Suite 400.
Written comments for the hearing may be delivered to the District’s administrative office located at:
6530 La Contenta Road, Suite 200
Yucca Valley, California 92284
or submitted by email to the board clerk, Karen Graley: [email protected]
