Meet Chris Carrillo during Saturday’s (March 9) monthly meeting of the Democrats of the Morongo Basin. Carrillo, who applied to fill the seat vacated by Supervisor James Ramos when Ramos was elected to the state Assembly, was a senior aide to both Ramos and U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, and is currently the chairman of the board of East Valley Water District in Highland. Come early for the optional $10 breakfast buffet 9 a.m., followed by the meeting at 10 a.m. at Bruce’s Place on the Copper Mountain College campus, 6162 Rotary Way in Joshua Tree.
