Morongo Basin seniors are invited to apply for a $500 scholarship from the Morongo Basin Democratic Club. Students must submit two essays, a personal essay on their goals, and an essay on one of the following topics: voting rights, campaign finance reform, gun control, human rights, equality for women, or environmental issues. Applications may be obtained from the counsellor’s office at the Basin’s high schools. The deadline to enter is April 15, and winners will be notified by May 15.
