Representatives from the Morongo Basin Conservation Association will be the guests on the Up Close Show Friday, March 12. President Steve Bardwell and Secretary Laraine Turk will be here to discuss more than 50 years of conservation efforts, to include the provisional designation of Joshua trees on the threatened species list. They’ll also discuss efforts to protect our night skies, and the eleventh-hour amendment to California’s Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan by the outgoing administration.
