The Morongo Basin Conversation Association (MBCA) will gather online-only this Saturday, January 29th for its’ 53rd annual meeting. MBCA Board members will be introduced and there will be an overview of issues facing the MBCA.

Guest speakers will address an urgent topic, ‘The Last Joshua Tree? Climate change and the future of this iconic species.’ The speakers include Brendan Cummings, the Conservation Director of the Center for Biological Diversity, and Chris Clarke, the Ruth Hammett Associate Director of the California Desert Program for the National Parks Conservation Association.

Other agenda items include the Light Trespass Ordinance, protecting rooftop solar, the Stagecoach Solar Project, and the county effort to amend the Short Term Rental (STR) ordinance.
