A short review of the past year’s accomplishments and a preview of goals for 2018 will precede an "Introduction to Permaculture for Arid Lands." Saturday’s event begins at 9:15 a.m. and concludes at 12:30 p.m. at the Center for Healthy Generations on Sunnyslope Drive in Yucca Valley. Artist, teacher, and permaculture enthusiast Jill Giegerich will lead the presentation on permaculture and explain how its principles promote a sustainable, more self-sufficient approach to growing things. The Morongo Basin Conservation Association presents this program as part of the Desert-Wise Living series; it’s all about our responsible use of water and energy.
