The California Highway Patrol, Morongo Basin Area Office, wants to hear from young men and women who are interested in becoming a CHP Explorer. Reporter Eric Knabe has more on how you can participate…
The California Highway Patrol Explorer Program is a unique and challenging opportunity that allows young men and women between the ages of 15-21 to be an integral part of the Department’s operations and experience what a career in law enforcement would be like. Explorers are trained in many aspects of law enforcement and they work with officers in the field and at special events within their community. Candidates for the CHP Explorer program should be interested in a law enforcement career and must meet the following requirements: age 15-21, have at least a 2.0 GPA, no drug or alcohol use, good citizenship, and no felony convictions.
