To help prepare young drivers for the responsibility of driving, The CHP is offering Start Smart classes for new drivers. The classes address topics such as safe driving practices, collision avoidance techniques, the rules of the road, and new driver license requirements. The next class is scheduled for Thursday (September 16) from 6-8p.m. at the Morongo Basin CHP station (63683 29 Palms Highway) in Joshua Tree. For more information, contact officer C.
