The COVID-19 pandemic has placed added strain on animal shelters nationwide. While many shelters have restricted public access, other shelters are now closed to the public, making adopting pets more difficult. For those who are unable to adopt a pet at this time, you can still help your local animal shelter through donations. Current needed donations for Morongo Basin animals shelters include new or gently used blankets and towels of all sizes, animal beds, and cleaning supplies. Monetary donations are also needed. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, donors are asked to contact their local animal shelter ahead of time to schedule a contactless appointment for dropping off donations.
