We have more information about a house fire last Friday (June 11) in Twentynine Palms. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, emergency services were called to a single-family residence on the 6200 block of Cahuilla Avenue (near Gorgonio Drive) around 3:40 a.m. for a house that was fully involved in flames and threatening neighboring houses. Fire crews launched a defensive attack and saved the two threatened houses from damage while the house that caught fire was determined to be a complete loss. The owner of the house said squatters had been using the home, those residents were not present when crews arrived and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
