SoCal gas plans to vent a natural gas pipeline near Wonder Valley today. The good news: Unlike earlier this month when another scheduled venting resulted in calls to 911, this one should be silent, odorless and invisible.
A company spokesman said that the release, part of a continuing scheduled maintenance program, will happen sometime between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., last less than 15 minutes and be in a remote area far from any structures.
All told, he said, only about a pound of gas will be released with no threat to public safety.
