MORE CALTRANS WORK ON HIGHWAY 62

CalTrans is continuing its repaving of Highway 62 this week, from Yucca Valley to Twentynine Palms, and in a new project, east of Twentynine Palms. From today through next Friday, August 9, workers will be grinding, paving, and restriping the highway in unspecified locations between Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms. The same will be done to the highway from just west of the Colorado River aqueduct to about 4 miles east of Cadiz Road. The work will take place from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. The road work east of Twentynine Palms will use one-way traffic control with a pilot car and flaggers. Drivers are warned to allow extra time for traveling through this area and to use caution.
