Twentynine Palms firefighters got little rest Monday. After fighting a house fire on the corner of Utah Trail and Serrano Drive, firefighters were called to a home in the 4500 block of Bullion Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Monday night. Initial callers described an explosion with multiple buildings on fire. Twentynine Palms firefighters discovered two outbuildings and a possible trailer or motorhome fully involved with fire, and the main residence threatened by flames. Firefighters from the Combat Center, Joshua Tree, and Yucca Valley assisted at the scene, with a primary goal of protecting the nearby structures. One firefighter received a minor injury and was treated at the scene. No residents were home at the time of the blaze.
