The Mojave Water Agency is offering a unique opportunity to learn about our areas Groundwater. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells you how to sign up…
The Mojave Water Agency has worked with scientists from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to understand and manage our region’s groundwater basins for 25 years. As part of this ongoing effort, Geochemists John Izbicki and Krishangi Grover of the USGS California Water Science Center have been studying arsenic, chromium, and uranium in rocks from across the area in order to better understand how these naturally occurring elements get into our groundwater basins. You are invited to hear their tales from the field and lab, as well as updates on their current assignments at the next Mojave Water Agency Planning, Resources, & Technology Committee meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 12.
