MOJAVE WATER AGENCY HISTORY LECTURE

Residents have been fighting over water in Southern California—who can use it, how much they can use, and where it should be sent—practically since settlers first arrived here. Managing editor Tami Roleff says make your reservations now for a lecture by an author who will talk about the history of the Mojave Water Agency and fights over our water…
Historian Jeff Crider will present a lecture on the history of water at the Mojave Water Agency and how it has shaped our region. The attempt by Cadiz to send water to Rancho Santa Margerita in Orange County is not the first time outsiders have attempted to divert area water supplies. Crider will also answer audience questions. Make your reservations for the lecture by Monday, July 25. The lecture will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at MWA offices, 13846 Conference Center Drive in Apple Valley. To register, call Gloria at 760-946-7001.
