Tom McCarthy. general manager of the Mojave Water Agency., is the newest member on the Board of Directors of the State Water Contractors. That’s an association of 27 public water agencies working together to provide clean drinking water and reliably manage water supplies statewide. Each member of the SWC purchases water from the State Water Project managed by the California Department of Water Resources. The Mojave Water Agency has been an SWC member since its inception in 1960.
