National parks, preserves, and monuments rely on volunteers to help maintain the public lands. Mojave National Preserve is looking for volunteers to work on projects when public gatherings are allowed. Some of the projects include invasive plant removal, revegetation of fire-impacted areas, trail maintenance, and debris removal. Long-term positions may include campground host, visitor center/park store docent, maintenance, and administration. Volunteers of all ages and from all backgrounds can contribute.

In the meantime, the park is sharing information and encouraging those interested in volunteering to contact the park. Volunteering with the National Park Service allows parks to accomplish more than they could normally and provides volunteers with unique opportunities to contribute to the important work being done throughout the National Park Service. Individuals of all ages and from all backgrounds can contribute. Mojave National Preserve is seeking volunteers for opportunities ranging from one-time service to long-term positions. Volunteers assist park botanists, biologists, rangers, and staff in keeping Mojave preserve accessible and protected for future visitors.
